On Wednesday, June 5, 2019, Sean Kevin Sharp, of Cypress, Texas, passed away at Memorial Hermann Downtown due to injuries from an electrical accident.
Sean was born on Wednesday, November 5, 1975, in Houston, Texas to David and Deborah Sharp at Sharpstown General Hospital. The Sharp family were native Houstonians and he grew up in the heart of the Northside. As a child and young adult, Sean was an avid baseball player who excelled greatly, as well as an honors student throughout school; graduating from Waltrip High School in 1993.
Sean attended Houston Community College for two semesters, but decided that working hard and making a living was more important than a formal education. Sean owned his own painting company for many years before purchasing 'R's Construction' from his Uncle Ronald Allen in 1999. Years later he branched out into custom home building where he fell in love with his job all over again. He eventually became Lead Project Manager for 'City Cottage Builders' while still maintaining 'R's Construction.'
In November of 2016, Sean married the love of his life, Jennifer Lloyd Sharp. They continued to raise their two children together to young adulthood, moving out of their tiny house they had outgrown to a place they were truly happy to call home.
Sean could be found behind the barbecue pit, his absolute favorite place to be, in his garage tinkering, on the back porch enjoying a Crown and Coke, or sitting with his family in the living room enjoying the latest movies. He absolutely loved to be at home with his family and friends, and spending every Friday night beer tasting with best friend, Shawn Emerson!
He actively participated in his children's lives and always made a point to know what they were interested in. He would always listen to Jennifer about her day at work, no matter how boring. He was a loving husband and father and a dear friend to many whom he loved very much as well.
He is survived by the three loves of his life, his wife, Jennifer Lloyd Sharp; children, Faith Nicole Sharp (18) and Hunter James Woods (20); mother, Deborah Sledge; stepfather, Tom Sledge; uncle, Ronald Allen; sister, Heather Linder (Andy Linder); brothers, Chad Sharp and John Sledge; brother-in-law, Holiday Lloyd III (Tina Lloyd); sister-in-law, Holly Lloyd; niece, Madisun Lloyd; nephews, Tyler Lloyd, Jarrett Guerra, and Adam Linder; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, David Sharp, and his father-in-law, Holiday Lloyd, Jr.
A memorial service celebrating Sean's life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Klein Funeral Home - Tomball, 1400 W. Main, Tomball, TX 77375.
