Les was a proud lifelong Texan whose dedication to family and friends was matched only by his passion for his interests and work. Known far and wide as the "Concrete King," Les was a meticulous arborist who took immense pride in grooming and maintaining his yard. His hands-on approach extended beyond his garden; he devoted countless hours each week to ensure that his outdoor space was not just well-kept but a reflection of his love for the natural beauty around him.

Professionally, Les enjoyed a distinguished career with Gray Tool Company and Combustion Engineering. His role took him to the far corners of the globe, where he worked tirelessly in the oil industry, troubleshooting complex issues with oil field well head repairs. His expertise and leadership were instrumental in assembling teams that tackled and resolved intricate challenges, bringing these massive operations back into full production. Despite the demands of his job, Les always remained grounded and connected to his roots.

After many years of city life, Les chose to return to his country roots, settling in the charming town of Waller, TX. This move marked a new chapter in his life, one that was enriched by his involvement in the local community. At Waller Baptist Church, Les found not only spiritual nourishment but also a network of friends who became an extended family. He embraced the church's social activities with enthusiasm, finding joy in the camaraderie and community spirit.

Les had a wide range of hobbies that brought him joy and fulfillment. His love for gardening was evident in the vibrant and well-tended spaces he created. He also enjoyed golfing, savoring the rich flavors of Mexican cuisine, and spending quality time with his grandchildren, who were a source of great pride and happiness for him. Fishing provided him with peaceful moments of reflection, and he cherished relaxing on his back porch, soaking in the serenity of his surroundings.

Even in his later years, when he moved into an assisted living center, Les' spirit remained indomitable. His warmth, generosity, and zest for life left a lasting impact on everyone he met. Les will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will be cherished by those who had the privilege of being a part of his life.
