Obituary

?It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Paul Scott Sander, 59, on Thursday, August 19th. Scott , born on June 5, 1958, was a native Houstonian who graduated from South Houston High School in 1976. On October 6, 1979, he married the love of his life, Theresa. He worked as a salesman in the oil and gas industry for forty years and was a board member of the Southern Gas Association and an active member of the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America. Scott's career culminated in his position as president of a flange manufacturer. Scott was a parishioner of St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church and was a faithful servant of the Lord.

Faithful and affectionate husband to Theresa and lovingly devoted father to his daughters, Lauren and Kinsey, and generous and caring to his innumerable friends. Scott was renowned for his kindness and loyalty to all. He had a giving heart that brought joy and laughter to all those around him. He enjoyed golfing, Astros baseball, Texas A&M Athletics, and listening to the country greats like Conway Twitty. He was especially happy cooking his award winning barbecue for his family, friends and coworkers.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Edmond Paul "Bubba" Sander and brother-in-law Robert Carter, Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty-seven years, Theresa Sander and his beloved daughters, Lauren Shelby and Kinsey Sander, and Lauren's fiancee, Adrian Rangel. He is also survived by his mother, Betty Sander, godmother/Cousin Dorothy Falkenburg, sister, Cynthia Carter Frankart and her husband Gene Frankart, niece Michelle Carter McStravick and husband, Michael McStravick, nephew Timothy Shane Carter and his wife, Samantha Carter and their children.

All funeral services will be held at Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church at 26777 Glen Loch Drive, The Woodlands, Texas 77381. A visitation is being held on Tuesday, August 22 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a vigil at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, August 23 at 10:00 AM. In honor of Scott and his love of showing hospitality to all, there will be a reception open to everyone at the conclusion of the service in the adjacent reception hall. A private burial service will take place in College Station, Texas at a later date.
