Scott Joseph Kelly of Houston, Texas passed away and went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2019, at the age of 45. He was born October 8, 1973, in Riverside, California.

Scott grew up in Plano, Texas and graduated from Plano Senior High School. He went on to attend Texas State University where he was an active member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. Following school, Scott lived an adventurous life working mainly in the restaurant industry in Texas and Colorado. He even tried his hand at working on a coal mine.

Scott met and married Holli Anderson, and they eventually moved to Holli's hometown of Houston. Scott immediately fell in love with the city. He quickly learned the best music venues and radio stations and became a rabid fan of all of Houston's professional sports teams. Silver Eagle Distributors hired Scott as a sales representative. He naturally flourished in the industry by using his witty-charm and creativeness to market and deliver Anheuser-Busch products to various Houston stores and bars.

Scott's biggest life-changing moments occurred around this time - his daughter Kiersten's birth in 1999 and his son Clayton's birth in 2001. There is no debate that Scott was most proud of his children, and if one ever doubted this, they only needed to look at his forearms where Scott had each of their names tattooed.

In 2005, Scott solidified the first step of what was not only a new occupation, but also his new calling, when he graduated from the Houston Fire Academy of Class #33. Scott loved everything about being a firefighter. His career started at Station 68, followed by Stations 59, 33, and 77. He faithfully served his community and bravely carried out his duties to help and save others. Most of all, he loved his brothers and sisters in the Houston Fire Department. The bond he has with them is inseparable.

Scott eventually remarried to Jessica Champion. He loved and cherished Jessica and his step-son Aaron Perez. Jessica was the love of Scott's life, and their relationship made him a better person.

Scott had a great ear for music and had a wealth of knowledge of various musical genres but was especially fond of singer-songwriters. His favorite way to relax was hanging out in his "man cave" in his garage while blaring his favorite artists. Scott had a big heart and loved to make others laugh. His sense of humor, comical banter, and dedication will be missed at home and at the firehouse.

In addition to being survived by his wife, Jessica Lynette (Champion) Kelly, his daughter Kiersten Ann Kelly, son Clayton Randall Kelly, and the mother of his children, Holli (Anderson) Garza, Scott is survived by his parents Beverly and Benton Kelly, as well as his biological father Joseph Clay, his brother Patrick Kelly and sister-in-law Amanda Kelly, and sister Kimberly King and brother-in-law Adam King. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
