Scott Andrew Gale, 40, passed away on September 24th, 2024, with family by his side.  Born in 1983 to Andrew and JoAnna Gale in Utah, he came into this world with an insatiable curiosity and dauntless determination.  He loved and respected his parents and was so grateful for their love and example. He was the oldest of eight siblings and relished his role as big brother; he truly enjoyed spending time with his family and was proud of each of them.

Scott grew up in the small town of Camas, Washington where he made the most of every day.  Scott loved to be in the middle of the action, never missing a minute of the fun.  He played football, but basketball was his obsession. He loved to pursue his hobbies and interests to great depths.  Scott served a 2-year church mission in Brazil, where he learned Portuguese and grew to love the people there.  After his mission, he graduated with a Chemical Engineering degree from Brigham Young University, where he served as Vice President of their AIChE chapter. He later earned an Executive MBA from Rice University, where he graduated Beta Gamma Sigma and was awarded the Jones Citizen Award.  Scott loved his experience at Rice and made lifelong friendships among that University community.  While earning his MBA, Scott co-founded the Jones Student Association for Executives and later served on the Rice Business Alumni Association Board and the Energy Advisory Board for the Rice Alliance Clean Energy Accelerator.

Upon graduating from BYU, Scott joined Dow Chemical, where he received the Young Sales Professional of the Year Award, the first of many awards that he received over the course of his career.  Scott appreciated the good feeling of a job well done and put his best effort into everything he did.  In 2020, Scott was tapped to create Halliburton Labs, where he was able to work with amazing people from all over the world.  Scott recognized it was a rare thing to have a job that was impactful, aligned with his skills, challenged him, and was fun to do.  He felt it was not really a job, but a passion. Scott was also a voice actor and podcast host which allowed him to showcase his impressive voice and channel his interest in humanity.

In 2006 he married Nicole Terry and they later welcomed four beautiful children.  He loved his family dearly and showed that love through his devotion, hard work and support.  He loved celebrations, a good meal, traveling, Legos, Lord of the Rings, and was intensely competitive in board games.  His love for documenting each activity through photo and video has given us the gift of memories we will cherish forever.

Scott truly loved life and lived it to the fullest despite a lengthy battle with cancer.  He fought hard to the end and often referred to the quote "I'm not a doctor, but I'm pretty sure if you die, the cancer dies at the same time. That's not a loss. That's a draw."

He leaves behind his wife, Nicole, and their four children, his parents, Andrew and JoAnna, and siblings Siara, Shanna, Spencer, Seth, Shayla, Sam, and Shane.  He is dearly missed and dearly loved.
