Scott Deane Dudley of Hockley, Texas graduated to his eternal home in Heaven where his faith became sight on February 1, 2021 at his home due to congestive heart failure.

Scott was born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on July 13, 1957 to his parents, Woodrow and Dorothy Dudley.  He grew up in Cape Girardeau on the banks of the Mississippi River with his older sisters Marilyn and Patricia.  After graduating from Cape Central High School and Missouri Business Institute, he worked at Sunny Hill Dairy and Restaurant, a local favorite place to eat.  He was then offered a job in St. Louis, Missouri.  Scott attended First Baptist Church of Ferguson, Missouri where he gave his life to the Lord on a Wednesday night in August of 1983.  On a church visitation outing in September of 1985, he met his wife, Jennifer Hook from Belleville, Michigan.  They soon moved back to her hometown in Michigan where they were married in November of 1986.  Soon, he began working at L&W Engineering as a press operator and welder.  They had three children: Jeremey, born July of 1988, Zachary, born May of 1990, and Hannah, born June of 1992. The family attended and served in Jennifer's childhood church at Bethany Bible Church in Belleville.  In 1994, the Lord moved them to First Baptist Church of Canton, Michigan where Scott faithfully served for more than eleven years as head usher, greeter, and youth worker.   In 2005,  Jennifer started a new job in Sealy, Texas.  Scott left his job of twenty years at L&W, and the family moved to Katy, Texas shortly afterwards.  Scott had multiple jobs from courier to parts associate to food caterer.  The family quickly found God's calling to serve at Central Baptist Church of Houston, Texas.  Scott became involved with the youth group and served as an usher and greeter.  His first grandchild, Maddison Dudley was born to his son, Jeremey and Michelle Dudley in October of 2014.  His second grandchild, Richard Dudley was born in May of 2016.

Scott's health began to decline after a heart attack in May of 2015.  Despite being told he would never leave the hospital, the Lord saw fit to give Scott nearly six more years of life in which he was able to continue being a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and servant to the Lord.  Scott's legacy of faith and service to his King left an imprint on his wife, children, and grandchildren.  The family thanks all those have sent prayers on his behalf as well as the family.  They pray that the memory of Scott would encourage others in their faith and walk with the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his late father and mother, Woodrow and Dorothy Dudley in 1973 and 2004 respectively, as well as his mother and father-in-law, Marie and Richard Hook in 2011 and 2020 respectively.  His oldest sister, Marilyn passed in 2019. He is survived by his wife Jennifer (61), oldest son Jeremey (32) and his wife Michelle (29), middle child Zachary (30) and his wife Michele (28), his youngest child Hannah (28), his two grandchildren Maddison (6), and Richard (4), and his sister Patricia (70).

The family is asking in lieu of flowers to please make all donations to either Central Baptist Church of Houston or Central Baptist Church of Houston Missions Clearinghouse. Visitation will be on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Klein Funeral Home at 1400 W. Main St. Tomball, TX 77375 from 5-7 P.M. for public viewing. The service will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Central Baptist Church 2855 Greenhouse Rd. Houston, TX 77084 at 11 A.M. The service will also be live streamed from the church website ( www.cbchou.org )  Meal will be provided at church from 12-:1:30pm. Graveside service will be at 2:30pm at  Klein Memorial Park 9714 FM 2920, Tomball, TX 77375.
