Scott Vincent Brown, 64, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2024, after battling a long fight against pancreatic cancer. He was born April 25, 1959, in Bryan, Texas to the late Claud L. Brown and Billie Kinsey Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Claud L. Brown and Billie Kinsey Brown of Watkinsville, Georgia.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Wehring Brown; his two daughters, Nicole Brown and Tiffany Brown; his sister and his brother-in-law, Claudia Parr and Darin Parr of Richmond, VA; his father-in-law, Douglas Wehring, and mother-in-law Helen Huckabee Wehring; his sister-in-law, Christine (Wehring) Ener; niece, Bethany Wehring; and nephew, Thomas Wehring. He is also survived by several other family members, relatives, friends and co-workers in Texas and Georgia.
Scott graduated from The University of Georgia with a degree in Geology. He was a member of the Intertek Westport company for over 30 years contributing his expertise and knowledge to those around him worldwide. Throughout his lifetime, his dedication to his career and strong work ethic did not go unnoticed.
Scott always supported his alma mater during football season and loved celebrating his Georgia Dawgs through national championships. He also always cheered on the Atlanta Braves and Houston Astros through their winning seasons. He also enjoyed fully restoring his 1971 'Cuda which he proudly displayed at local car shows, winning him some well-deserved awards.
Scott loved all his family, including his dog, Chloe, and his fur-grandchildren, Chapman, Maple, Richard, and Finch. They will all miss playing frisbee in the yard and sleeping in his lap.
While we lost our most beloved husband and father, many have also lost a great friend, co-worker and colleague, a brother, an uncle, a son-in-law, a cousin and the list goes on.
