Obituary

Sarah Nancy Culli, of Magnolia, Texas, was born on October 2, 1950, and passed away on July 23, 2019.

She is survived by her sister, Linda McDowell; her sons Brian, Aaron and wife Barbara, and Daniel and wife Amanda; grandchildren Dustin, Holley, Austin and Danielle, Steven and Cheyenne; and her adopted son and companion Nick.

Sarah was born and raised in the tiny town of Wood River, Illinois. Through the guidance of her father Harry (who served in the U.S. ARMY, was Captain of a barge and retired sheriff) and mother Blenna (a nurse) she learned love, faith, discipline, respect and compassion for family, people and nature. After she became a mother herself, she continued to pass along the values of love and hard work onto her sons.

Her path brought her to Texas which created a love that would never end. She returned to Illinois for several years to handle her personal business and continue to raise her boys.

After her sons grew older, moved to Texas and married, she would travel back often deepening her love to travel. She and her sister Linda, traveled to several beautiful places together creating unforgettable memories and a bucket list that would end up unfinished. Sarah loved to quilt, hunt, fish, ride motorcycles and 4-wheelers, go to the beach and/or river and spend time with her family. One of her favorite places to rest and relax was the "little piece of heaven (or Texas dirt)" in Oakwood. When she couldn't be there, in Oakwood, she was in her "craft room" quilting away...

When she moved to Texas in 2013, although retired already, decided to go back to work. She quickly got hired at Lowes. Although for some people this would simply be a place of employment, for Sarah it become a place full of friends.

A memorial service for Sarah will be held at 2pm on Monday, July 29 2019 at Klein Funeral Home, 14711 FM 1488, Magnolia, TX 77355.
