It is with grieving hearts that we announce the passing of Sara "Sally" Elizabeth Crowder, who left us peacefully at the age of 78 in Cypress, Texas. Born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Sally was a devoted homemaker and a loving mother, known for her warm spirit and unwavering dedication to her family. A celebration of Sally's life will be held on October 5, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home - Cy Fair - Northwest, located at 9719 Wortham Blvd., Houston, TX 77065.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to ARC or Reach Inc., organizations that hold special meaning for Sally and her family.

Sally enjoyed a brief career as a bank teller, where she met her beloved husband, Orville Crowder. They were married for 39 wonderful years, from 1968 until his passing in 2007. Together, they raised three children: Adam, Mark, and Sara, creating a home filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Sally's greatest joy came from her role as a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son, Mark Crowder, his wife Christine Crowder, and their daughter Molly Crowder. She is also survived by her daughter, Sara Wheeler, and Sara's daughter Samantha "Sammy" Wheeler. Her granddaughters, Molly and Sammy, fondly called Sally "Grammy." Her legacy of love will forever live on in their hearts.

A passionate collector of Disney memorabilia, particularly Scrooge, Sally surrounded herself with flowers and candles, creating a warm and inviting home. Her doors were always open to family, friends, and their beloved pets. Sally had a unique talent for providing wisdom and support to those she loved, always ready for a shopping trip or a heart-to-heart conversation. Sally was a vibrant spirit who adored hosting family gatherings, especially during the holidays, where she could be found singing along to Christmas tunes long before the season began. Her love for the theater and shows like Family Feud, Chopped, and NCIS brought her much joy. She was an enthusiastic supporter of her granddaughters' activities, often seen at the barn with her unsweetened iced tea, cheering for Sammy as she rode her horses, and actively encouraging Molly in tumbling, cheer, FFA, and her various pursuits.

As we remember Sally, we take comfort in the words of her favorite Irish blessing:

May the road rise up to meet you,

May the wind be ever at your back,

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

May the rains fall soft upon your fields,

And until we meet again,

May God hold you in the palm of His hand.
