Sandra "Sandy" Honeycutt Measmer, 74, of Spring, TX passed away peacefully Sunday, February 14, 2021.  Sandy was born October 12, 1946 in Concord, NC to the late Oscar Lee (O.L.) and Clarice Honeycutt.  Sandy graduated from Harrisburg High in 1964 and later attended Gardner-Webb University where she earned her Associates Degree.  Sandy married John L. Measmer on October 8, 1966 celebrating 54 years together this past October.

Sandy moved to Spring, TX with her husband and children in 1975.  In 1979, Sandy went to work for Texas International, which later became Continental Airlines, in order to visit family in North Carolina frequently.  Working in the airline industry ignited a love for travel which continued to be a passion of hers throughout her life.  Sandy traveled all over the world and especially enjoyed traveling with her husband, many friends, and family.

Sandy and her husband, John, joined Champion Forest Baptist Church in 1992 and continued to be a faithful member until her death.  Sandy was involved in many church activities over the years and gained lifelong friendships through their life group and many Bible studies she attended.  Sandy was also involved with a variety of volunteer activities including sewing dresses for missions in Haiti & Columbia, Northwest Assistance Ministries, Salvation Army, Houston & Montgomery County Food Bank, and many others.  Sandy enjoyed giving back to her community and serving others.

Sandy will be greatly missed by her loving husband, John L. Measmer, of Spring, TX; son, Matthew "Matt" Measmer of Deer Park, TX; daughters, Carrie Perkins of Spring, TX and Paige (Rob) Patterson of Spring, TX; and five granddaughters whom she adored, Kaitlyn "Kate" Perkins, Danya Perkins who predeceased her, Reighan Perkins, of Spring, TX;  Abigail "Abby" Schnettler, and Holly Schnettler of The Woodlands, TX; brother, Wayne "Bob" Honeycutt of Harrisburg, NC; Sister-in-Law, Susan "Sue" Williams of Raleigh, NC; Nieces and Nephews, David (Linda) Gibson of Concord, NC, Alisa Gibson of Raleigh, NC, Darin (Rachael) Gibson of China Grove, NC, Glendie (Adrian) Cobb of Harrisburg, NC, and Rebba (Jason) Clayton of Harrisburg, NC.

A viewing will be at 1:00 PM followed by the Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Champion Forest Baptist Church – Champions Campus, officiated by Pastor Ed Ethridge.  Burial will follow at Klein Funeral Park - Spring-Klein (9714 FM 2920 Tomball, Texas 77375).  The service will follow all CDC guidelines regarding social distancing and mask requirements.  For those who are unable to attend, a web link will be posted on the family's social media as soon as it is provided.
