Sandra "Sandy" Kay Dorcas, was born on December 12, 1940 in Winnsboro, TX  and peacefully passed away on December 26, 2023.

She grew up in Fort Worth, Texas with her mom and dad and enjoyed church activities, roller skating and spending time with her cousin Silvia. In high school, Sandy was a majorette in the band.

After high school, while working at Stationers Distributing Company in Fort Worth, she met Gene Dorcas. They were married on July 21, 1961, and spent the early part of their marriage in Key West, Florida where Gene was stationed in the Navy.

In 1965, they moved to the Bedford, Texas area where they raised their two boys, Michael and David.  They were very active at First Baptist Church Bedford and Woodland Heights Baptist church. She volunteered in local politics, church events and served as an officer in the Parent Teacher Association.

She was blessed with six grandchildren who knew she loved them dearly. She never met a stranger and always greeted you with a smile. There was never any question she loved Jesus and would share Him with anyone she met.

Although she will be missed dearly, we are so happy she is forever with Jesus.
