Sandra Dian Garcia, 57, passed away on November 12, 2020, in her home and surrounded by family in Spring, Texas.
Sandra was born in Manchester, Jamaica and spent the majority of her childhood and young adult time in a neighboring suburb of Dover, New Jersey. She later moved to Beaumont, Texas to attend Lamar University College and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics, followed by earning her dietitian license from the Commission of Dietetic Registration in May 1997.
Sandra was employed with the Texas Health and Human Services, formerly known as Texas Dept. Aging and Disability for 16 years of service. Sandra loved being an educator in her role as a dietitian working with the elderly in long term health care settings and more. Also, she was never too busy to make time for others. Sandra loved cooking, exercising, traveling, and above all, spending time with her children.
Surviving are her three children of Garrett Steven Garcia, daughter, Rachel Lucille Garcia, and Joshua Alan Garcia, former husband, Steve Garcia; sisters, Eulen Nguyen, Sonya Ribnicky, and brother Roger Lowe.
We would like to express our deep gratitude and appreciation to the many family, friends, and coworkers for your prayers, kind words, and offers to help during this difficult time.
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." Romans 12:12
