Samantha Marie Polotko, 20, of The Woodlands, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2016. Samantha had a short fight with gastrointestinal cancer, but carried herself with strength, courage, and an unfaltering attitude. She never complained, cried, and constantly put on a brave face for the rest of us. She was truly selfless. She was an angel on Earth and now she will forever be an angel in Heaven.
Samantha was born October 7, 1996 to Steve and Jennifer Polotko in Houston, Texas. She graduated from The Woodlands High School in 2015 and attended Texas Tech for one year where she majored in English. She had "the best jobs ever," she would say, babysitting four great children and also working at Gigi's Cupcakes! She was a reader, baker, animal lover, Netflix lover, dancer, cheerleader, wanderluster, and the most affectionate, kind-hearted sister, daughter and friend you'd ever meet.
Samantha is preceded in death by her sister, Kate, who passed away from cancer February 22, 2000, and her grandmother Marilyn Polotko..
Samantha is survived by her parents, Steve and Jennifer, siblings Ashleigh, Regan, and Noah, Uncles Jeff Staples and Jonathan Coolahan, Aunt Lori Fisk, and Grandparents John and Nancy Coolahan, Ray Staples and Michael Polotko.
The family of Samantha Polotko wishes to extend our most sincere thanks to all the family and friends that stepped up to the plate to care for this darling girl.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Coolahan, Jeff Staples, Alex Sowyrda, Michael Anderson, Ernie Layton, Ronnie Nau, Todd Charron and Matthew Nicholas.
Visitation will be at the Klein Funeral Home from 5-8 pm at 1400 Main Street, Tomball, Texas on Friday, November 11, 2016.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Klein Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Klein Memorial Park, 32599 State Highway 249, Decker Prairie, 77362 in the Garden of Precious Memories.
