Born in Chicago, Illinois to Hilario and Dolores Gomez. He lived in Chicago until he moved to Houston at the age of 18. In 1978, he moved with his family to the Cypress area. Salvador retired from Halliburton Services where he worked for several years at the plant off North Drennan in Houston. He loved spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Salvador is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Elvira, his brother Joe of San Jose, California and his five children, Gloria Kelley of Cypress, Texas, Dolores Gallegos and her husband Silvano of Tomball, Texas, Joe Gomez and his wife Misty of Cypress, Texas, Martin Gomez and his wife Shelly of Tomball, Texas and Frank Gomez and his wife Nereyda of Cypress, Texas and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family. Salvador was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.
