Sally Caldwell Clark, age 84, peacefully went to be with our Lord on March 30, 2021, in her home surrounded by family and friends.
Sally was born September 4, 1936 in Edna, TX. She was a 1944 graduate of Austin High School. She continued her education at Southwestern Business College, where she earned an Associate's Degree in Business. She continued her education at Southern Bible College in Houston, TX. While there, she met her husband of 53 years, Dr. Joseph Clark. Sally worked for Transcontinental Oil in Houston, TX, for Frank J & Associates in Kingwood, TX. She was also a devoted pastor's wife for 10 years.
Sally's commitment to God, her family, and community was illustrated in her years of active church leadership, teaching Sunday school classes, her generous hospitality, and the time she spent with her family and granddaughter, Gwyn Clark.
Sally is survived by her son Steve, daughter-in-law Lisa, granddaughter Gwyn, and grandson Caleb. She is also survived by her brother Ed "Bubba" Caldwell and his family of Alabama, as well as her sister-in-law Mamie and family of Magnolia, TX.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Sydney Caldwell; brother, Louis (Jr.) Caldwell, Son, James Clark; and husband, Dr. Joseph Clark.
Sally very much enjoyed going out to eat and spending time with friends and family. She was strong and independent until the last few weeks of her life. She was compassionate, kind, and joyful. She will be deeply missed.
Sally's family would also like to recognize Amedisys Hospice staff, the nurses, and chaplain Roy, for their kind assistance. Thank you for answering every late-night call, and walking with us through this difficult time.
