Sadel Cesar Sanchez, 91, went to be with the Lord on November 24, 2017. He passed away at his home in Houston, surrounded by his family. Sadel was born on February 25, 1926 in Honduras to Raymundo Sanchez and Concepcion Fonseca.

Growing up alongside nine brothers and sisters, including his twin, Sadel grew up in La Ceiba, Honduras, where his love for the beach and water began. In Honduras he worked as a policeman and later as a sailor.

In the 1960s, Sadel moved to the United States, making New York City his new home. He loved the city, which was filled with energy, people, and opportunities.  In New York, he worked as a machinist for many years.

In 1989 he and his wife Doris, along with their three children, moved to Houston where they were able to buy their first home.

As a retiree, Sadel began to focus on his love of painting. He would often be found in his garage with paints, paintbrushes, and a canvas depicting beautiful scenery of beaches, mountains, and the sea.

He was lovingly called "Don Cesar" by many and was a hard working man, always willing to help his fellow brother, patient, gentile, humorous, charming and a wonderful brother, father, great grandfather and husband.

He is survived by his wife  of 41 years Doris, his sons Ramses, Oscar, Cesar, Rene and Olfri, his daughers, Keira, Laysa, Miriam, and Leticia, his grandchildren Edwin, Gabriela, Bryan, Arnold, Dylan, Karla, Tanya, Oscar Freddie, Brandon, Lourdes Maria, Yajaira, Jacob, Irma and Cesar, his 14 great grandchildren, his twin brother Oscar,  brothers Sebastian, Francisco and Cruz, his sisters Lucila, Erma, and Graciela and his dog Charcoal.
