Ruth Ann Wehmeyer (Segelhorst), born on October 16, 1944, went to be with her Lord on June 29, 2021.

Ruth was born in Leslie, Missouri, the daughter of Otto Fred and Ester Marie (Fechtler) Segelhorst. She was baptized on November 19th, 1944, and confirmed on March 30th, 1958, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Beaufort, Missouri. She attended Union Elementary and Union High School in Union, Missouri.

On June 22, 1963, Ruth was united in marriage to Ralph Allen Wehmeyer at St. John's Lutheran Church, Beaufort. Ralph survives in the residence in Hockley, Texas. They raised three sons, Allen and wife Lisa of Holts Summit, Missouri, Mark and wife Barbara of Hockley, Texas, and her favorite son Jonathan of the home. She is survived by her seven grandchildren: Craig and wife Emilie, Kevin and wife Rebekah, Kara, Matthew, David, Katie, and Cole, two great grandchildren Isabelle and Oliver, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers James Segelhorst and Herb Segelhorst. Ruth's brother Dennis Segelhorst and wife Dorothy survive in Beaufort, Missouri.

Ruth enjoyed involvement with her church families of St. John's Lutheran Church Beaufort, Missouri, St. John Lutheran Church Drake, Missouri, Grace Lutheran Church Holts Summit, Missouri, and Salem Lutheran Church Tomball, Texas. She served her congregations and her Lord by preparing the bulletins, serving on the Alter Guild, actively participating in LWML, Ladies Auxiliary, Lutheran World Relief, and many other committees. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, baking, sewing, quilting, and beating everyone at Canasta. She laughed often and loved deeply and will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Salem Lutheran Church's Heart for Honduras Homes for Hope mission fund or the National Association for Down Syndrome.
