Obituary

Ruth Ellene (Olson) Kearns McCue, age 81, of Pinehurst, Texas, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday morning, January 29, 2021.

She was born to Paul Augustus Olson and Grace Augusta (Poeling) Olson on the family farm in Edmond, Oklahoma on April 16, 1939.

Ruth enjoyed watching baseball and crocheting. She rarely missed a game and referred to the team as 'the boys' and pretty much knew everything there was to know about them. Whatever she was doing, country music was playing, and she had a particular affinity for Charley Pride. Country music truly was the anthem of her life.

However, the true loves of her life were her children and following generations of grandchildren. She was the matriarch of a large and rare five generation family and proudly wore several titles, Daughter, Sister, Cousin, Aunt, Mom, Grandma, MaMaw, Friend and she loved to simply be referred to as Mama by everyone else.

Ruth leaves a strong legacy of love including three sons, Paul (Paula) Kearns, Joe Kearns, Danny (Kim) McCue, two daughters, Kathryne (Randy) Crain and Mary (Allen) Siarski, 18 grandchildren, Chris (Staci) Kearns, Jessica Limbrick, Josh (Gabi) Kearns, Paul Maddox, Meghan (JJ) Richardson, Ashley (Harold) Reynolds, Brandi Kearns, Willie (Chasity) Whittington, Wendy (Shane) Hale, Robert (Jessica) Kearns, Billy (Danielle) Kearns, Brad Whittington, Thomas (Dusti) Siarski, Sean Siarski, Samantha Sanchez, Nicole Sanchez, Noah Sanchez, and Jonathan (Charlotte) McCue, 36 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great-Great Grandchildren, brother, David Olson, niece, Tammy (Tracey) Madden and nephew Shawn Olson. She knew that she was truly blessed in this life. She leaves many more family members and close friends who will sadly miss her.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life in Ruth's memory on her birthday in April.

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital's history, purpose, and mission was incredibly special to Ruth. For this reason, the family would appreciate donations be made to St. Jude in her memory. www.stjude.org/donate check the box for "Dedicate my donation"
