Ruth Marguerite Hestand, 87, of Wake Forest, NC formerly of Spring, TX passed away October 18, 2021.  She was born February 18, 1934, in Nueces County, Texas to the late Willis and Anna Rawalt.  She married Billy Ervin Hestand on August 26, 1952, in Robstown, Texas and had been married over 47 years when he passed away on June 29, 2000.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers Wallace Rawalt and Kenneth Rawalt.

She is survived by her children, Robert Hestand and wife Ann, Sandra Hestand and John Gonzales, and Michael Hestand and wife Jodi, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Ruth graduated from Robstown High School, Del Mar College and Corpus Christi State University, with highest honors. She was a member of Phi Theta Kappa, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Texas Society of Certified Public Accounts.  Ruth retired as a Certified Public Accountant.  She was an active member at Lakewood United Methodist Church, Houston, Texas.
