Ruth Gale Frausto was born in Houston, Texas on March 5, 1958 and passed from this world on February 11, 2022. With the exception of 6 years between 1966 and 1971, when her family lived in Bay Ridges, Ontario, Ruth lived her entire live in Houston.

Ruth often reminisced about the years her family lived in Ontario. She loved her time there and thought it was a wonderful place to spend that part of her childhood. She felt a lifelong pull to that time in her life; however, she was glad she came home to Houston. Not only was she reunited with her grandma Willie and her cousins, she met the love of her life and man that became her husband of 48 years.

Ruth didn't have a lot of hobbies but reading was definitely one of her favorites. She was an avid reader of suspense & supernatural novels, especially those by Steven King, Dean Koontz, James Patterson and Janet Evanovich . She also loved horror and comedy movies. Her favorite pasttime was anything to do with animals and nature.

Family was always important to Ruth and included in her family were her animals. She loved animals her whole life and had many, many pets; dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, fish and even a rat or two! She would find stray and/or wounded animals and would bring them home to take care of them...her children continued the tradition and brought her strays and sick/wounded animals throughout her life. Also considered family were her friends and many of her children's friends. Many were loved and treated as though they were her children.

Ruth was especially close to her immediate family. She adored being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren. She was not able to be close to all of her grandchildren but she loved them all very deeply.

Ruth's life was not always easy and was filled with many challenges but through it all, humor would often come to the rescue. There may have been many sad times in her life but looking back there were far more memories of laughter. Ruth had an awesome sense of humor! Those that knew Ruth well, know what I am talking about.

Her mother introduced her to God early in her life and while she did not always participate in organized religion, she always had a deep faith in her Savior and spend many hours reading her bible and discussing it with family and friends.

Her heart was broken by the loss of family members but now she has been reunited with them in Heaven. I can't imagine the joy she felt being with her grandmother Willie Streetman, parents Ron & Mary Anderson, son Robert Frausto, niece Amy Frausto, cousin Linda Irwin, sister-in-law Norma Perez and numerous Aunts, Uncles and friends.

She was so loved, much more than she realized and will be missed forever by those left behind.

Missing her on earth are her husband Mario Frausto, daughters Jennifer Van Wagner (Eric) and Shelby Stucker (DeeJay Reese), son Benjamin Frausto (Maria), nephew Joshua Frausto (Sandra) sister Sandy Frausto & brother-in-law Gene Frausto, brother Jason Anderson (Tricia), mother-in-law Bea McDonald (Oscar), brother-in-law Ruben Gonzales (Rhonda), sister-in-law Sylvia Lopez (Mario), grandchildren

Megan, Jaycee, Jordyn, Gage, Jasmine, Benjamin Jr., Heidi, Mario Thomas, Devon, Robert Jr., Orion and Cerrick, great grandchildren Azalea and Ky, adopted grandchildren Grace and Aidan, adopted great granddaughter Ophelia, nephews Travis and Josh H., niece Kellie and numerous cousins and friends.
