Ruthie DeNina, age 83, of Tomball, passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2022 surrounded by her loving family and caregivers.

Ruthie was born in Mexia, Texas on March 11th, 1938 to Morris and Lillie Bishop. She attended and graduated from Reagan High School in 1955. It was during high school that she met the love of her life, Frank DeNina, at the Minimax Grocery Store where they both worked. They had a long courtship and married in June of 1955 after she converted to Catholicism. They had four wonderful children whom they raised in West University and then Spring Branch. A beautiful love story lasting sixty six and a half years on Earth but everlasting in spirit.

Ruthie volunteered her time at Memorial City Hospital as a candy striper until there was a discrepancy about her skirt length. Thus, her time as a volunteer quickly came to an end! She went on to find a job working as a receptionist for many fine doctors throughout the years. She was also well known for helping out many of her children's friends who needed a "sick note" every now and then! She truly enjoyed her job and adored all the people she met along the way.

Her real passion was her family. Her greatest blessings called her Honey (her favorite title by far), and this is where she really excelled. She lived by her own motto, "spoil your children but ridiculously spoil your grandchildren". And that she did!! She spoiled them rotten and loved them without reservation. She brought them on many beautiful family vacations where cherished  memories were made. She taught them so many things and spent countless hours on the floor- laughing, playing games, reading books, making all kinds of concoctions, and just loving them so well. She was by far their number one fan and never missed a chance to tell anyone who would listen about her grandkids.

Aside from her love for her children and grandchildren, she would do absolutely anything for others. She had a heart so selfless, you wouldn't believe it unless you knew her. She will be missed beyond what words could ever explain, so we thank God her love was more than enough to last a lifetime.

Honey is preceded in death by her beloved son Russell DeNina. She is survived by her husband Frank DeNina; Her son, Aubrey DeNina; Daughters, Cheryl Nimtz and Lisa Hymel; Her grandchildren, Tiffany DeNina, Clint Bruney, Hunter Nimtz, Lauren, Ashley and Brooke Hymel; Her great grandchildren, Gia Cordova, Nikolas DeNina, and Braxton Bruney. She is also survived by numerous additional relatives and friends.

The family would like to thank her caregivers Liz Ventura and Crystal Crest for the love, respect, and care they provided Honey over the years. We are truly grateful.

Our angel here on Earth has earned the ultimate reward and is soaring high.

A visitation will be held Thursday January 13th, 2022 at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball, Texas from 5-8pm.

A funeral mass will be held Friday January 14th, 2022 at Saint Anne's Catholic Church in Tomball, Texas at 10:30am.
