Ruth Elizabeth Canon's Obituary
Ruth Elizabeth (Smith) Canon, born April 12, 1923, in Kosciusko, MS, went home to be with the Lord on October 5, 2016, in Spring, TX. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Ross Canon.
Ruth graduated from Kosciusko High School and attended Mississippi State Women's College. She married Louie Canon, Sr. on November 17, 1946, and they were blessed with almost 70 years together. Ruth and Louie were active members of the Bethel Methodist Church in Kosciusko.
She is survived by her husband, Louie Barton Canon, Sr.; her son, Louie Barton "Bart" Canon, Jr. and wife Susan; grandchildren, Joseph Ross (Miranda) Canon, Allison (Christopher) Canon Pailes, Erin (Jeffrey) Canon Will, Lauren Elise Canon, Matthew Edward (Jessica) Canon, and Kristen Elizabeth Canon; great-grandchildren, Annelisa Grace Pailes, Alayna Joy Pailes, Cambree Leigh Canon, Avaree Aniston Canon, and Aubri Lynn Canon.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, October 13, at Klein Funeral Home - Champions, 16131 Champion Forest Drive, Spring, TX 77379.
A committal service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, October 15, in the Kosciusko City Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS.
