Russell John Fisher was born in Pasadena, Texas on October 14, 1952, and passed away in Houston, Texas on May 21, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Catherine Fisher.

Russell is survived by his wife, Lisa Marie Valentine; his daughter, Autumn Fisher-Combs and husband John; mother of his daughter, Debbie Fisher; sister, Bernadine Thomas and husband Edwin; niece, Terri Frattalone and husband Larry; nephew, Trent Thomas and wife Tammy; and numerous, cousins, extended family members, lifelong friends, colleagues and loved ones.

After Graduation from Waltrip High School in Houston, Russell served in the United States Army.

After being honorably discharged, Russell then joined the Houston Police Department on August 12th 1972, Academy Class #56 where he was assigned to; The Northeast, North, Emergency Communications, Northwest, Mounted Patrol, Vice, and Narcotics Divisions. Russell retired at the rank of Sergeant on January 13th 2007 after a remarkable 35-year career.

Russell "Nomad Pescado" along side his best friend and fellow HPD officer Mondel "Mad Dog" Martin, and four others, formed the Los Carnales Motorcycle Club in April of 1995 in Houston Texas. With the addition of like-minded, law abiding and supporting members, the Motorcycle Club now collectively known as Los Carnales MC - La Familia MC, has grown with Chapters throughout the United States, and internationally in Italy, and Belgium. Nomad Pescado has been a constant mentor serving in roles as National Vice President, Interim National President and Charter Nomad member. In 1999 Pescado pledged to Mad Dog, on his death bed, that he would see to it that the Motorcycle Club continued on in his honor. A promise that was never broken, and a testament to Pescado's dedication, honor, moral fortitude, and loyalty to his Brothers and Sisters. Loyal to a fault, a trait deeply valued, respected, and earned by those via the club's motto, Por Vida.

In retirement, in addition to the Motorcycle Club and time with family and friends, Russell found great peace and passion alongside Lisa tending to the wide variety of animals on their "V6 Ranch" in Chappell Hill (Washington County – The Birthplace of Texas). An avid reader, he spent time reading a wide variety of books, studying the Bible, and he always made time to share a drink and story with friends – he was a gifted story teller with a passion for history and traditions.

Russell will be deeply missed and forever fondly remembered by his wife, daughter, family, friends and motorcycle club.

A funeral mass for Russell will be held at 11am on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Christ The Redeemer Catholic Church, 11507 Huffmeister Rd, Houston, TX 77065 (Full Houston Police Honors to follow) with Visitation one hour before the service (10:00am at the Church).
