RUDOLPH "Rudy" ANDREW ZAJAC, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 25, 2018 in Houston, Texas. "We believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him...for the Lord Himself will come down with a loud command, with the voice of the archangels and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise."  Thessalonians 4:14-16.

Words can not express the magnitude in which Rudy will be missed. He will be remembered in our hearts, as a man of his word.  His loyalty and integrity set a strong example as a mentor, by the way he lived his life, as a devoted Christian and his love for the Lord. He has left a legacy of love and spiritual values for his family and all that knew him. "For me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain."  Phillippians 1:21.  A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all that knew him.

Rudy is survived by his son Greg Zajac and wife Elizabeth; daughter, Tessie Yanchak-Fraysur and husband Darren; daughter Debbie Zajac and partner Debbie Bond; daughter Carolyn Zajac; his girlfriend of twelve years and special Lady in his life, Betty Crawford; grandchildren, Dennis Yanchak Jr, Dustin Yanchak, Lindsey Lauder and husband Klay,  Leah Fraysur,  Colin Regan, Lauren Regan,  Brody Zajac, Jame Luby, Jake Luby; great-grandchildren, Kason Lauder, Katelyn Lauder, Remi Yanchak, Wes Yanchak; and several nephews, nieces and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Zajac, parents Tom and Theresa Zajac, son in-law Dennis Yanchak, Sr.   Rudy was born April 23, 1939 in Los Angeles, CA.  He married Dorothy Watzlavick Zajac on Nov. 18, 1961, in Houston. He served in the United States Air Force, in Germany from 1953 - 1957.  He became a Knight in the Houston-Galveston Diocease Knights of Columbus Council 2917 in 1957, where he served for 61 years.  He served as Grand Knight of Council 8771.  He was a Fourth Degree Member of Assembly 3310 and served as Faithful Navigator.  He also served in many executive positions, including District Deputy and Assistant Diocesan Deputy.  Rudy retired at age 50, after 20 years of service, with Sears and Roebuck, as a District Manager for Home Improvements.  His passion for business led him to a career in Real Estate, Property Management, and Home Building, as owner of Zajac Construction Company for 39 years,  until his death. He was especially proud of his land development projects.  He raised cattle after his retirement for 15 years.  As a hobby, he was an avid fisherman, loved all sports especially his beloved Astros, loved playing cards, dominos and traveling to Casinos, were he was always very Lucky.   Above all his greatest pride was his family, his children, grand children and great-grandchildren.  Rudy was a dedicated parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, in Cypress, for 38 years, where he helped build the church to what it is today.
