A most loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Rubie Charlene Clark peacefully joined her brothers and parents in heaven on January 2nd, 2024. There is so much to say and so much to express, but hopefully the words below will help give one at least a window into the life of one of the most wonderful human beings on earth.

Known as Charlene to everyone and "Grandma" to just about every kid in the neighborhood, Charlene was born in Canton, Ohio on September 4th, 1945. Charlene met her future husband in College at Nashville, Tennessee and they were wed in Canton, Ohio in 1964. She moved to Tomball where she had her son, Michael. As a longtime Tomball resident for 58 years, Charlene had built up many longtime friendships in the community. She had worked for the beloved longtime town doctor, Dr. Norman E. Graham for almost 30 years and witnessed firsthand the many changes and growth of the medical community.

If there was one very well known thing that was known about Charlene, it was her love for everyone.  There wasn't a family member, friend, or stranger that she wouldn't give her unconditional love to, especially in time of need.  During holidays and family events, to say that she would "cook for an army" was an understatement as there were always more than enough leftovers to go around. There was also not an area cat (to which she pretty much shared custody with a number of neighbors) who could not find shelter in her home during adverse cold or extreme heat.  Her tending to plants in a meticulous fashion was one of her passionate hobbies and frequently felt the need to show her neighbors the way of caring for plants.  Although only a glimpse of her life, these tidbits show a wealth of enjoyment in her everyday life.

Though the final months of 2023 were a struggle for her, she continued to persevere to be in her home and visit family. Her strength, love of life, and giving will always be remembered by all. No matter the headwinds, she always had a great smile, and she will certainly be smiling on everyone from above.

Charlene is survived by her son Michael (wife Robin), prior husband Gary (wife Kathy), grandchildren Nicholas (wife Analicia) and Bethany (husband Daniel), and great-grandchildren Tadek, Maycee, Clara, and Carter as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and lots and lots of friends.  Memorial services will be at the Klein Funeral Home in Tomball on Friday January 12th at 2:00 pm.

Charlene was a rarity of human kindness and love. Let's all try to be more like her.
