Roy Don Dodson

July 2, 1955 - December 10, 2018

Roy Don Dodson—beloved husband, father, and grandfather—was born on July 2, 1955, in Wheeler, Texas, to George and Vivian Dodson. He placed his faith in Christ as a child and was guided by this faith throughout his life.

He received his undergraduate degree in 1978 from Texas Tech University and earned a

graduate degree in 1980 from Stanford University. Roy married Pamela Hart on June 28, 1980,

and established his own civil engineering and hydrology firm, Dodson and Associates, in 1983.

Roy and Pam had two children, Bradley David Dodson and Alana Kay Harrison. Roy was

devoted to his family and loved his wife, children, and new grandson, Bauer Roy Harrison, with

all his heart.

Roy and his family have attended Champion Forest Baptist Church since 1986. Roy used his

many talents to serve the Lord through the church.

Roy will be remembered by his wife of 38 years, Pamela Hart Dodson, his son Bradley (Ariel)

Dodson, his daughter Alana (Austin) Harrison, and his grandson Bauer Roy Harrison. He is also

survived by his brother-in-law David (Kathi) Hart, brother-in-law Guinn Henderson,

nieces Teri Jackson, Tammie Aragon, and Donna McMillin,

nephews James Henderson and Donnie Hart, and many cousins, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, George and Vivian Dodson, siblings, Kay Henderson

and Neil Deane Dodson, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Gifts in memory of Roy's life may be sent to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's

Research or to Champion Forest Baptist Church.
