He is predeceased by his parents, Pedro and Thelma (Garcia) Ramirez, his older brother Arnoldo Ramirez and his older sister Angelina Garcia (Checo) and has three surviving siblings Aida Herrera, Oscar Ramirez (Josie), and Thelma Garza (Abe), and his sister-in-law Diana Ramirez.  He has one daughter, Laura Hebert (Mike) and five grandchildren, Sister Mary Laura Hebert, Danielle Regitz (Kyle), Jonathan Hebert, David Hebert, and Matthew Hebert.  Ronnie graduated from William Adams High School in Alice, TX in 1956 and joined the Air Force serving in active duty from 1956-1960 as an aircraft mechanic.  He was honorably discharged from the Air Force Reserves in 1963.  Ronnie held many jobs before returning to school to earn his certification as a teacher of building trades.  He retired in 1999 after teaching at Benavides High School for 20 years. As a boy, Ronnie served as an altar boy at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Alice, later was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was a member of the Padre Pio prayer group at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Alice before moving to Cypress.  He has been a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Houston since 2008 when he and Sylvia moved to Cypress to be near their grandchildren whom he loved dearly.  He had an infectious smile and wonderful sense of humor.  His life always seemed to be filled with fun and adventure. He made friends easily and was a generous friend to all, especially those in need.  Ronnie was a beloved husband, brother, dad, "Papo", uncle, and friend.
