Ron was born in Wahpeton, North Dakota and grew up in Elkhart, Indiana. He met Rebecca (Becky) while attending Indiana University. They were married on September 1, 1967 and had 2 children. They later moved to Texas and then to Illinois for several years before returning to Texas permanently.
Ron and Becky loved camping and travelling. They traveled with their children camping across the US and even into Canada. Later, they continued their travels and over the years traveled to 49 of the 50 United States as well as Canada and Mexico, often with their group of lifelong friends (known as the FOBB).
He loved the outdoors, gardening, walking nature trails, taking his dog to the park, etc. but he especially loved to go fishing and would go any chance he could get. He and his son, Ed never missed an opportunity to put the boat into the water.
He always had a life lesson or some other piece of wisdom to offer and he loved his family more than anything. He was the best Husband, Father and Grandfather anyone could ever hope to have.
Ron is survived by his wife Rebecca Wunderlich; daughter Stephanie Krueger and husband Jeff; son Edward Wunderlich; grandson Jonathan Krueger; granddaughter Tara Krueger; brother-in-law Roger Marine and many other family and friends.
