Ronald (Ron) Lloyd Wartes, of Tomball, entered heaven on April 20, 2022. Ron was born October 2, 1938, in Lubbock, Texas, to the late Lloyd Wartes and Waycie (King) Wartes.

Ron was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was proud of his twelve grandchildren and his eight great grandchildren. Ron was a hard-working business owner for many years prior to his retirement. He served honorably in the United States Air Force from 1955 to 1961. He was an avid reader, primarily non-fiction books, with a true love of lifelong learning.

Ron is survived by his wife, Sara (Mills) Wartes; children, Alan (Issa Forrest) Wartes, and Donna (Patrick) Harrigan; grandchildren, Sara Harrigan, Bridget Harrigan, Maggie Harrigan, Colin Harrigan, Jonathan Wartes, Rachel (Wartes) Gunderson, Anna Maxey, Elle Ray Forrest, Aquene Hudson, Ducote Hudson and Altamira Delaney Hudson.; great grandchildren, Carson Harrigan, Cooper Boyer, Mia Boyer, Sebastian Wartes, Leander Wartes, Cohan Cramp, Lilyan Cramp, and Sam Maxey,

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his grandson Paul Wartes.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Cemetery, 23555 ½ Lutheran Cemetery Road, Tomball, Texas 77377, with Rev. Tim Carter officiating.
