Ronald Charles Waldbillig was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan on March 17, 1943, and passed away in Conroe, Texas on May 21, 2026.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Margaret Waldbillig, and his children Michael Jon and David Charles. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Marcia, and a son Tim.
He leaves his brother, Bob Waldbillig and family; Gary Waldbillig and family; Carl Waldbillig and family; Judy Waldbillig and family; sisters-in-law, Christine Aiello and Carrie Plaisance, and many nieces and nephews. He graduated from Northern Michigan University then moved to Rochester, NY where he received two Ph.Ds in Biochemistry and Brain Research. He moved to Emory University, in Atlanta GA, then to Duke University in Durham, North Carolina as a post-doctoral fellow. He joined the faculty in Physiology and Biophysics at the University of Texas Medical School in Galveston.
Ron was a member of The Gideons International for 27 years distributing Bibles locally and abroad. He spent 15 years visiting inmates in the Harris County jail. A member of Champion Forest Baptist Church for 31 years, he served as a Deacon and taught/cotaught in Bible Study classes.
The service for Ronald will be held at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Champion Forest Baptist Church, 15555 Stuebner Airline Rd, Houston, TX 77069. A reception will immediately follow.
