Ronald William Sutton, born on April 21, 1943, in Decorah, Iowa, passed away peacefully at his home in Cypress, Texas, on November 25, 2025, with his beloved wife Terri by his side. Ron spent his early years in Marion, Iowa, and later moved to Texas, where he lived in Cypress for the past 17 years, following 16 years in Tomball.

During his high school years, Ron drove a bus full of kids to the next town for Catholic school and worked summers at a stone quarry in Decorah. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1962, retiring as a Master Sergeant E7 on November 1, 1982. Ron cherished his military life and the various bases he was stationed at.

After his military service, Ron worked at an electronics company in Sugarland before starting an Autocad job in Cypress, where he met and fell in love with Terri. They dated for three years and married in April 1994. Ron's last job before retiring was as a Senior Autocad Designer at a Traffic Control Company in Sugarland, a position he held for 22 years until his retirement in 2017.

Ron and Terri enjoyed many projects around their home, including designing and building a G Scale train track around their back porch patio. They also shared many years of skiing in the Lake Tahoe area and cherished family trips to Honolulu, Hawaii. Their German Shepherd pup, Roxi, adored Ron and stayed by his side during his illness.

Ron bravely battled leukemia for over 17 years. Terri expresses her heartfelt gratitude to the Hospice Care Team for their compassion and support during Ron's final days.

Ron is survived by his wife Terri Sutton; son Nicholas Sutton; daughters Robin Olmos and Kathleen Hrncir; sister Rosie Soden; brother Den Sutton and wife Betty Ann; grandsons Jonathan and Jason Olmos; granddaughters Megan, Sarah, and Emily Hrncir; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William Jacob Sutton and Ellen Josephine Carolan, and his sister Pat Goettsch.

Ron was the best husband and friend Terri could have ever had. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
