Ron Kissner, of Magnolia, Texas, passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 80. Ron was born on May 23, 1944, in Flagler, Colorado to Geraldine Sutherland and Robert Kissner as their only son. He was a loving and devoted husband to Peggy Wilson whom he married in June 2015. He is survived by his wife Peggy, son Steve (Sally), grandson Creighton, step-children Cindy Shelton (Clayton), Steve Wilson (Lisa), step-grandchildren Wendy Rollins (Kalon), Shane Wilson (Veronica), Matt Shelton, and step-great grandchildren Ty, Riley and Taylor Templeton, Clio Wilson and step-great great grandchild Londyn.  Ron grew up and graduated from high school in Arriba, Colorado. He served in the US Army from September 1969 to August 1971 as a chaplain's assistant and was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado. He received a Bachelor of Science in business from the University of Colorado in May 1974. Ron started his career with Holly Sugar Corporation in May 1974 as an accountant in their corporate headquarters in Colorado Springs, Colorado. After several promotions he became Assistant Controller and was transferred to Sidney, Montana. He was actively involved with Junior Achievement and the Kiwanis Club becoming President of the Sidney Kiwanis Club. Ron served as state chairman for the Montana Job Service Employer's Committee in 1981 and a member of the Governor's Advisory Council to the Montana Employment and Training Administration in 1982.   Ron was later transferred to Sugarland, Texas when Holly Sugar merged with Imperial Sugar. He wrapped up his career with Imperial Sugar and took a position with the City of Houston in the Finance Department from 2005 to 2012 when he retired.

Ron led a highly active life, always the first to volunteer from being the photographer to treasurer of various groups such as the Tomball Promenaders Square Dance Club and Cool Sam RV club. Ron was a very creative and talented technology artist that produced beautiful videos of his and Peggy's many travels.  Ron was the ultimate travel planner; he worked tirelessly creating detailed itineraries complete with illustrations for each travel member. He was famous for creating annual calendars for each family member filled with personalized photos. He had a thirst to learn new things, take on new hobbies and to participate anywhere needed. He traced each family member's genealogy that went back generations and produced their own bound booklet which he proudly gifted. He was our "go to" person when any family member would ask questions about their heritage.

Ron was known for his generosity, unparalleled kindness, and thoughtfulness.  He wanted everyone to feel included and special.  He will be deeply missed by his family and so many friends whose lives he touched.
