Ronald Charles Plowman, 58, of Spring passed away November 18, 2021. He was born September 22, 1963 in Burien, Washington.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Kimberlea Kra Plowman; sister, Pam Dobbeck and husband Ben; half sister, Michelle McLean and husband Steve; half brothers, Gerald Plowman, and Richard Ralls; nieces Ava, Samantha, and Tierney; and father, Ronald E. Plowman. Ron is also survived by his beloved pets: Meow, Mitty, Atlas, Mayhem, and Zade.
Ronald is preceded in death by his mother, Roberta Louise Williams Plowman; and biological father, Richard Ralls.
Ron proudly served his country for 20 years in the US Coast Guard. He spent 11 years at sea, primarily aboard the ice breaker Polar Sea WAGB-11. During his service, he travelled extensively, including voyages to Antartica, the North Pole, Australia, Hawaii, Chili, Tasmania, Fiji, Puerto Rico, Panama, Ecuador, British Columbia, Norway and New Zealand. After his retirement from the Coast Guard, Ron returned to college and later became a maintenance technician working at several complexes in the Seattle area. His most loved job was working at an assisted living facility where he engaged daily with residents, listening to their stories while he worked. Ron is most remembered for his love of his wife, friends/family, animals, and Neil Diamond songs. He was well known for his kind heart, his pride in this country and his faith in God.
In lieu of flowers/plants, the family requests that donations be made in Ron's honor to Special Pals Animal Shelter, 3830 Greenhouse Rd, Houston .
