In loving memory of Pastor Ronald Henry Lawrenz

Rev. Ronald H. Lawrenz (John) went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 28, 2019 at the age of 92 surrounded by his family.

Ronald was born September 25, 1926 in Stillwater, Minnesota to Regina Emile Burfeind (1897-1987) and John Andrew Lawrenz (1898-1992).  Regina and John raised Ronald to be a hard-working, self-sufficient person which served him well in his ministry.  On August 27, 1949, he married Ruth Marie Roedell with whom he raised a family and shared his ministry for almost 70 years.  After graduating from the Seminary in Springfield, Illinois, Ronald served congregations in Minnesota, Illinois, and Texas.  The common theme during his ministry was a focus on sharing the Gospel and building.  Everywhere God lead Ronald something got built.

Ronald was known as a kind, generous, intelligent man who inspired people with his faith and hope in God.  He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and friend.  He will be remembered for the phrase he used whenever you were leaving him – "The Lord loves you and so do I"!

Ronald leaves behind his wife, Ruth (Roedell) Lawrenz; sons Stephen (wife Lovelia) and David (wife Laura); grandsons Johnathan (wife Emily), Jason (wife Ashley), Terry, Charlie (wife Ann), Jay Miguel and five great grandchildren with one more on the way, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Regina and John Lawrenz; his brother Russel John Lawrenz (1929-1971), daughter-in-law Dawn Denise Dean Lawrenz (1961-2007), and granddaughter, Crystal Dawn Lawrenz (1985-2008).

Family and friends will gather to share memories during a visitation at 8:30 AM on Monday, June 3, 2019 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W Main Street, Tomball, where funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM.  Ronald will be laid to rest at the cemetery there.
