With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Ronald Peter Kurtz, 77, of Spring, Texas, on June 25, 2024. Ron was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

Born in Allentown, New Jersey, on October 26, 1946, Ron was nurtured by a devoted family. He attended Trenton Catholic as a star quarterback before transferring to The Peddie School, where he excelled in track and field, becoming the New Jersey State Champion in the Broad Jump and placing third in the 8 Lap Relay. He continued his athletic and academic pursuits at the University of Notre Dame, earning a degree in Finance in 1968. That same year, he married his beloved Patty. Ron later obtained a master's in Business Administration from Columbia University in 1970 while serving six years in the Army Reserves.

Ron's career led him and his family across the nation—from Maryland, to California, and ultimately to Texas in 1990, where he embraced his new home with characteristic enthusiasm.

Predeceased by his parents, Isidore and Anna Kurtz, Ron is survived by his wife Patty, their children Peter, Amy, Erin, and Hadley, grandchildren Julia, Reagan, Megan, Andrew, Hayes, and Reese, and his sister Carol.

He cherished golf, literature, fine wine, Notre Dame athletics, opera, Chelsea football, and treasured moments with his grandchildren, sharing his love of trivia and crafting memorable experiences.

Ron will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family, and the wisdom and humor with which he faced life. His legacy endures in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
