Ronald "Larry" Haigood 76 years old, left us while sleeping peacefully, November 15th, 2020 in Tomball, TX. Preceded in death by his parents Marshal and Doris Haigood. Larry will be greatly missed by his survivors wife Mary Haigood and children, daughter Belinda Gwin and her husband Tyson, daughter Jackie Smith and her husband Steve, daughter Debbie Field and Dale, son Jack Clark, daughter Rachel Ball and her husband John, brother Lyndell Haigood and his wife Cathy of Wichita Falls, Texas. Nieces Jennifer Blake and her husband, Brett; and Dr. Jody Lorimer and her husband, Ryan; and their children. Also 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. As well as many other cherished family and friends.
Larry was born September 5th, 1944 in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he was raised. He lived there until he attended college at the University of Houston in Houston, Texas, where he received a masters degree in chemistry. He went on to become a Chemistry professor at North Harris Community College, where he eventually retired. He met the love of his life, Mary Haigood, at a singles bible study at Bammel Baptist church. He later married her on December 18th, 1983 and was a faithful and loving husband until his death. Larry was lovingly referred to as "Pa" by all of his children and grandchildren. Larry was a very patient, loving and understanding man who loved his wife, family, coffee, Jesus and nickels. He always had a sweet smile on his face!
Rest in peace Pa, Well done good and faithful servant. Your family loves you and you will live in our hearts forever.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Sunday, November 22, 2020 at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 Main Street Tomball, Texas 77375
Graveside services will be held Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 at 10a.m with the Rev. Carl Herring III officiating at Klein Memorial Park 32539 SH 249 Pinehurst, Texas. 77362
