Ronald Harold Duncan was born in Ontario, Canada September 1, 1932 and passed away peacefully at home with family on November 3, 2022.
In 1967, Ron and his wife Donna with 3 young children made the brave decision to move from Canada to Texas to pursue a job opportunity. Ron and Donna made their home in a then brand new community north of Houston, Tx called Oak Ridge North. For over 25 years, everyone in Oak Ridge knew the house on Hillside Dr where you could usually find Ron and Donna outside working, earning yet another "Yard of the Month" award! Ron and Donna both loved the sand and sea and would spend many weekends at their home away from home in Galveston, Tx or looking forward to the next trip to their favorite destination, the beaches of Mexico.
Ron was a dedicated family man that made it to all his children's and grandchildren's activities, whether it was a sporting event, or a dance recital or school play. Ron was not a particularly large man, but everything about him was larger than life! Although he was not a native Texan, you would never know it when he walked into a room in his starched jeans, cowboy boots and Resistol cowboy hat. Ron was a prankster and a clown with an ear to ear smile and a twinkle in his eye.
Upon Ron's retirement from a long and successful career in sales for such companies as Quaker State and Diamond Shamrock, he and Donna moved to Tomball, Tx where they would live out the rest of their days. Ron was the most dedicated and loving husband to his beautiful bride Donna, never leaving her side. Late in life when her health and mind were failing, she would have no greater care-giver than Ron. His dedication continued even after Donna's passing in 2020 as every single day without fail he would visit her gravesite. Everyone at the cemetery knew Ron and on hot summer days he would bring bottled water or even a cold can of beer for the groundskeepers. It was only in his last couple of weeks that his failing health wouldn't allow him to visit.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ruby Duncan, his sister Diane, his twin sister Ruth, and his loving wife of 66 years, Donna.
Ron is survived by his children; Susan and her husband Steve; Shari; Mark and his wife Rani; Troy and his wife Shelby; grandchildren, Jason and his wife Sandra, Tiffany and her husband Paul, Tyler and his wife Laura, Chance, Brittany and her husband Luke, Jett, Emily, Beau and his wife Rebekka and great-grandchildren Jaxon, Jensen and Bjorn with two expected great-grandchildren, Scarlett and Ava on the way. Ron is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service will be held November 8 th at Klein Memorial Park in Tomball, Tx.
