Ronald Robert Cruse born in Brownsville Texas on June 25th, 1944 passed away on January 22nd, 2019. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Robert Payne Cruse and Sylvia Bane Cruse, brother Tim Cruse as well as his son Robert Wayne Cruse. Ron spent his early years with his Grandparents and uncle Tommy Cruse in Jacksonville Tx. Ron started is business career driving a tanker truck for Younger transportation. Ron worked for the Rainbow Baking Company in Houston and Dallas where he earned his way to Vice President of the one of the bakeries. After a buy-out of the company he took his talents to PepsiCo in 1991. He remained in the snack division (Frito-Lay) until he retired in 2002. During his time at Frito-Lay he was recognized for growing his brands (Doritos, Cheetos, Lays, Tostitos and others) by leveraging category facts with key retailers in Houston. Ron was one of the most generous people you could ever meet as he was a member of the Mason's, Scottish Rites, Shriner's and Life time member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Ron enjoyed his hunting trips with his customers as well as many golf outings where he liked to close business agreements. During retirement you could find him playing cards, dominos, and enjoying life with his friends. He had a 6am coffee club at Whataburger every morning, he always looked forward to the morning times. His outgoing personality was always a fun time. He was a huge resource for his friend as he had contacts for just about anything you needed in life and could pick up his phone to make a call to make things happen. As time came to a close, Ron could always count on his friends to help out with whatever was needed. Karen Petersen was one of his longtime friends who stepped up in a huge way to make sure he had the best care possible. She was at his side until the end as she sacrificed her personal time to take care of Ron. She was a true Blessing for Ron over the years.

Ron leaves behind Kay Cunningham (sister) Sonny Cruse (son), David Cruse (son), Ronda Cruse Page (daughter) and many Grandchildren/Great Grandchildren.

Ron will truly be missed by his family and friends.
