Ronald "Ronnie" Steele Clark was born in Hobbs, New Mexico, on July 5, 1947, and passed away in The Woodlands, Texas, on August 2, 2026 at the age of 79 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, BF and Geraldine Barton Clark, and his siblings, Gary L. Clark, Larry L. Clark, Gay L. Clark, Melvonda S. Clark, Marilyn J. Henry, and Shari J Olson.

Ronnie is survived by his beloved wife, Carole Clark; his children, Laura D Mentze and husband Barry, Daniel R. Clark and wife Stephanie, and Kelly D. DeCorte; his grandchildren, Kayla R. Hogan and husband Kyle, Rebekah A. Clark, Kassidy R. Mentze, Blake D. Clark, Katie D. Clark, and Karli S. DeCorte; and his brother, Darryl Clark and wife Maryann.

Ronnie will be laid to rest at Klein Memorial Park on SH249 in Pinehurst, Texas, during a private committal service with military honors.  Details regarding a celebration of Ronnie's life will be announced at a later date.

Ronnie proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.  After his military service, Ronnie founded his own construction company in 1981, which continues to operate today.  He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family through the business he and Carole built from the ground up.  Whether he was building something for a customer or fixing something for a friend or family member, Ronnie was always happiest when working with his hands.

He enjoyed cooking, grilling, cruising, spoiling his grandchildren, and spending time with family and friends.  He was an avid fan of classic country music and President Donald J Trump.  Ronnie was happiest when surrounded by family, preparing meals for holidays and family gatherings, telling stories, and tinkering. These simple moments brought him his greatest joy and are how his loved ones will remember him.  Above all, Ronnie's greatest pride was his family.  He loved them fiercely, celebrated their accomplishments, and cherished every opportunity to spend time together.  Though he is deeply missed, Ronnie's love, laughter, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation or Camp Hope (operated by the PTSD Foundation of America), if desired.

A private graveside urn interment with military honors will be held for the family at 10am.  Following the interment, all who knew, loved, and wish to honor Ronnie are invited to attend his Celebration of Life.  We hope you'll join us in sharing stories, laughter, and cherished memories as we celebrate a life well lived.
