Obituary

We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved "Rockin" Ron Remington. Taken far too soon Ron passed away surrounded by those who loved him the most who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. The viewing will be held on Friday, June 9th from 5pm-8pm. Ron was the light of everyone's life but even more so to his wife, Monica and their three kids. He is survived by his wife Monica, his son Jarrod and his wife Lauren, his daughter Jenna and her husband Stephen, his daughter Jacie and grandchildren Dalton, Colton and Jackson. He was predeceased by his parents Ronald and Ruth Remington Sr as well as Monica's parents Robert Lee and Martha Sue Jacobs.

Born as Ronald Claude Remington Jr in Plainwell, MI May 28th 1960. His family moved to the Dallas area back when he was a teenager. He graduated W T White HIgh School in 1978 and worked several places including Johnson Controls.  Continuing in the process control industry he currently was with The Reynolds Company for almost 20 years. He later met Monica through mutual friends–he was part of their band "Barnstorm".  Ron will always be known for his part time gig/full time passion of playing music and singing. Ron played the bass and sang the most amazing harmonies. Along his journey he met and played in various bands in Dallas, Louisiana and the Houston area making lifelong friends.

He was an incredible father and husband and our lives will never be the same. His talent, quick wit and humor never ceased to amaze us, the love and pride he had for his children was unmatched and unwavering. He also loved cooking and grilling, making sure to take before and after photos of his plate, listening and sharing with everyone his favorite band Here Come the Mummies, throwing the frisbee with his dog Sitka, making sure everyone around him was smiling and laughing and being the greatest DJ at all his children and grandchildren's extra curricular activities.

Please join us if you would like to pay your respects at the viewing.  A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
