On April 11, 2023 Romeo Laranang Langit passed away peacefully after spending a few days in
a Hospice at Houston Texas, being blessed with a long life of 94 years.
Our beloved Romeo, is survived by his wife Tong Yian-Langit Cheong, two daughters Ruby Carr
and Jojina Bennett, his brothers Vil Langit, Arthur Langit, Amor Langit, Stachys Langit, his
sisters Myrna Guadiz, Fe Dilim, Rose Weir, his grandchildren Brandonn Carr, Marissa Chung,
Sian Bennett-Motuliki, Alexis Espersen, Zak Bennett and great grandchildren Eylana Carr,
Ethan Chung, Cayden Chung, Leo Fassnacht, Troy Espersen, Aria Rose Espersen, Justin
Bennett-Motuliki, Ace Espersen and Eeva Carr.
Romeo was born on March 8, 1929 to parents Andres Langit and Rosa Langit in the Philippines.
He was one of the Filipino soldiers who fought in the Korean War in the early 1950's. He worked
in Saudi Arabia for many years and made his home in Houston Texas for the past 35 years with
his beloved and ever cherished wife Tong Yian-Langit Cheong, who took such wonderful care of
him. There was no way he could live without her.
Romeo loved to sing and cracked jokes a lot, as he possessed a keen sense of humor. He was
a hardworking man, a man of deep faith and a truly generous member of his family, a friend for
all time to those who knew him. In many ways he made a difference in so many lives, a friend
and brother who was always there when he was needed. Romeo will be remembered by all that
knew him with great admiration, love and gratitude.
Thank You our dear Romeo Laranang Langit. Thank you to all who conveyed their condolences,
our deepest appreciation to our wonderful awesome family and friends who put in so much love
and effort in the final preparations as we say farewell to a beloved husband, father, grandfather,
great grandfather, brother and friend.
