Roland Lawrence Neuse, Jr. passed away on November 9, 2019. He was
loved by his wife, Bobby, his daughters Meri Thomas and Melissa Hamilton
and his brother Pete Neuse, along with each of their families including
grandchildren, Cody, his wife Holly, Travis, Lauren, and Julia and extended
family.
In his younger years, he served in the Army National Guard and worked for
Arco Gas Company that brought the family to Spring, Texas.
Roland had a passion for being an entrepreneur and started his first
convenience store business in Houston, Texas. He and Bobby later opened
two other businesses in Jewett, Texas where he expanded into catering.
Many might say he had the best barbeque in Jewett and surrounding
counties.
Roland served on the Jewett City Council and also as an Emergency
Medical Technician where he took pride in driving the ambulance.
Roland retired from his career first in Bryan and then in Spring, Texas. He
enjoyed driving and showing his vintage 1968 Camaro at the local car
shows, watching NASCAR, cooking brisket for his family and mostly being
a kind and gentle soul. Roland was a devoted Catholic and was a member of
Saint Anne's Catholic Church in Tomball, Texas.
Services will be held at 10:30 am on December 4th at Saint Anne's Catholic
Church in Tomball with a gathering following the service. In lieu of
