Roger Lloyd was born June 28, 1937, in Tyler Texas, to Harris and Violet Lloyd and died August 4, 2023. He was 86 years old. The family moved to Houston, Texas in 1951.

Roger was a long-haul truck driver for many years. After truck driving, his path led him to erecting steel buildings which he was very good at. Roger was a perfectionist in everything he did which led him to wood working which he became a master at. Everything he made had to be perfect and he wasn't satisfied until it was. I really learned a lot from Roger.

Roger turned to the Lord after his wife passed in 2007. He was a devout Christian He became very active in the church.

Roger was a friend to many people. Towards the end of his life when he spent many days in the hospital battling numerous ailments, all the nurses talked about how nice he was and easy to get along with. There were some nurses that would even call the hospital on their days off to check up on him to see how he was doing.
