Obituary

Robi Ted Willis, 69, of Porter, Texas, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025. A generous and hard-working soul, Robi touched countless lives with his warm smile, delightful sense of humor, and unwavering dedication to those he cherished.

Born on October 6, 1956 in Baytown, Robi was a lifelong Texas resident who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. An avid fisherman, he spent countless hours on the bay, casting lines and sharing stories with friends and family. Robi's generosity and warm heart showed in his legendary fish fries, held after a successful day on the water, as he delighted in sharing his fresh catch with family, friends, and neighbors.

His passion for fishing was matched only by his love for the Lord and for coaching. As a beloved baseball coach, Robi inspired young athletes with his patience, encouragement, and belief in their potential, leaving a lasting impact on the individuals and community.

Robi had a unique ability to light up any room with his lighthearted antics, making every moment memorable. His vibrant spirit shone brightest when he sang. Whether belting out classic rock anthems or heartfelt ballads at local karaoke nights, his performances brought joy to everyone around him. His voice, like his heart, was full of warmth and sincerity. Above all, Robi was a tirelessly dedicated man, pouring his heart and soul into everything he did, including working and over 36 years with DOW Chemical and some years on the fire brigade. He constantly showed an unwavering commitment to those around him.

Robi is survived by his loving wife, Renee Willis; his children, Ryan, Sean, and Shelby and their spouses; his 11 energetic grandchildren; his siblings Scott and Tina; and a wide circle of friends who will forever cherish his memory. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert ("Rusty") and Marie Willis.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champion Forest Dr., Spring, TX 77379 where friends and family are invited to share stories in his honor. A celebration of Robi's life will be held at 10 am on Friday, October 24, 2025 at John Wesley Church, 5830 Bermuda Dunes Dr., Houston, TX 77069. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or to John Wesley Church.

Robi's legacy of dedication, love, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace, forever singing among the stars, coaching above the clouds, and casting a line in tranquil waters.
