Robert Lee West Sr., 86, passed from this life on July 19, 2024 in New Caney, TX. He was born to the late Claude and Anna West on December 21, 1937 in Houston, TX.

Robert and Frances married on November 2, 1956 and were married for 52 years upon Frances's passing. They were blessed with three children, Robert Jr., Lea Ann, and Charles.

Robert was a loving husband, father and Poppy/Granddad to all of us.  He taught us what it meant to love the Lord, each other and our country.

Robert graduated from Cypress Fairbanks High School. Upon graduating, he attended Local 68 Apprenticeship School and obtained his Journeyman Plumbers License. His career in the Plumbing industry included becoming an instructor at the Apprenticeship School, serving as Chief Plumbing Inspector for the City of Houston, serving on the Texas State Plumbing Board, and serving as President of IAPMO.  His dedication to the plumbing industry was astounding.

As a young man he served in the Texas National Guard.

Robert is survived by son Robert L West Jr. and wife Cindy, Lea Ann Hildebrandt and husband Anthony, and Charles E West and wife Sonia, 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, Sisters Claudia Goodman and Janice Vaughn, Sister-in-law Sherrell Cooper and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Claude and Anna West and his loving wife Frances Lee.

Isaiah 41:10    So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

A family and friends gathering will be held Friday, July 26, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Klein Funeral Home-Tomball. A private service will be held at a later date with just the family.
