ROBERT (Bob) JOSEPH VIENNEAU:

June 17, 1942 - September 28, 2021

The Woodlands, Texas

This unbelievably loving man, known as Morfar and Poppa, will be forever deeply missed. Bob was an inspiration to many that have crossed paths with him through his journey with Massachusetts Maritime Academy, American Bureau of Shipping, Habitat for Humanity, St. Vincent de Paul, Carpenters for Christ and Aging In Place, The Woodlands.

Bob leaves behind his wife, Marsha Bishop Vienneau,  his daughter Anna Vienneau Lopez (Oscar) of Bothell, Washington, grandchildren Matthew and Catherine, his step-son Jon Dickey (Darcey Clark) of Woodinville, Washington, grandsons Tyler and Dylan, and his step-daughter Maryn Jones (Terry) of San Marcos, Texas, and grandson Jeremiah, and his brother Richard Vienneau (Cefferina) of Kennewick, Washington.

Bob is predeceased by his parents Patrick and Ruth Vienneau of Boston, Massachusetts, and his wife Hendrieka Anna (Rieka) Vienneau who was sadly lost to cancer in 2004.

Bob graduated from The Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 1964 with a BS degree in Marine and Electrical Engineering, along with a Commission in the US Navy and a Third Engineer's license in the US Merchant Marine.

Upon graduation Bob chose to go to sea as an engineer on various ships of the merchant marine fleet.  He sailed the world over as an engineer on merchant ships finally coming ashore to work shore side for a shipyard in San Francisco where he was well liked and respected by all who worked with him.

After several years of working on the San Francisco waterfront, Bob went to work for The American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) in their LA office as a surveyor where he gained the respect of all who worked with him.

He went on to move up the ranks within ABS over his 43 year career which placed him in various countries worldwide ending in a position as Vice President before retirement.

In lieu of flowers and cards, we would ask that you make a donation in Bob's name to your favorite charity.
