Robert E. Summerford was summoned by the Lord on September 9, 2017. Bob was born in Macon County, Georgia in 1937, an only child to Earnest and Frances Summerford. Bob served in the U.S. Navy and then later worked as a motorcycle patrol for the Albany Police Department. Bob and Fran were married in 1958, and together raised five beautiful children. His passions included racing stock cars, practicing his marksmanship, fishing, and dancing to Willie Nelson, with his wife. Bob enjoyed a good steak, western movies, and Kahlua in his milk. Bob was a loyal friend, a fiercely protective father, and an affectionate and fun grandfather and great-grandfather.  The loss of Bob's infectious smile will leave this earthly world a little darker, but will make the Heavens a little brighter.
