Robert Morris Sims, 54, of Magnolia, passed away August 6, 2020. He was born in Houston, Texas on April 8, 1966 to the late Bill Sims and Billie Sims.  He was the first of 3 children born to the family.

Robby attended Bleyl Junior High and Cypress Creek High School before moving to Tomball High School in 1983 where he was on TWHS Varsity Baseball team.  He graduated in 1984 and joined the United States Marine Corps where he spent four year in Newport News, Virginia then North Carolina and Japan. During this time in 1985, he married Darla Croft from Magnolia, Texas and they had a beautiful daughter, Ashley in 1987.  After his service in the Marines, Robby returned to Texas and soon after began his long career in the oil and gas industry.  He later married Connie Matthews and they had two wonderful kids, Justin and Shelby Sims.  Robby continued international travel where he gained long-time colleagues and great friends in every corner of the world. As a Senior Subsea Supervisor, Robby was a respected leader and helped many people throughout their careers.  He married Leesa Krug in 2010 where they settled down in Magnolia, Texas.

Robby was an enthusiastic hunter spending much of his free time at his deer lease in Alabama with close friends and family. He also loved his lease in Livingston. He was also known to be quite an LSU fan often sporting the purple and gold colors.  More than anything, Robby loved being a PawPaw to his six grandchildren- Jordynn Lewis, Korban Lewis, Jerriah Lewis, Jovie Foster, Blake Burrell and Kyleigh Pace.

Robert Sims is survived by his wife Leesa Sims; his mother Billie Sims Carpenter; his daughters, Shelby Sims and Ashley Sims and husband Jerry Lewis; his son Justin Sims; step-daughter, Kaylee Pace; step-son, Phillip Pace; his sister Kristi Seanor and husband Keith; his brother Russ Sims and wife Brenda; numerous nieces and nephews and grandchildren as listed above.

The family will receive visitors Monday, August 10, 2020, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Klein Funeral Home.  Private family funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Klein Funeral Home.  Interment to follow in Salem Cemetery.
