Robert J Selick, age 87, of Spring, TX, formally of Seymour, CT entered into rest on March 29, 2025 with his family by his side.

Born in Derby, Connecticut on September 22,1937 he was the son of the late Walter Selick and Gertrude Walters Selick Wagner.

Robert was a graduate of Ansonia High School and served in the United States Navy. He was a postman in Ansonia and went on to work multiple roles within Exxon Mobile leading to his retirement in Houston, Texas.

He was a devoted and loving husband to his late wife Janet Selick. They were married for 65 years.

Robert is survived by his children Robert Selick, Nancy Johnson (Erich), Gretchen Selick, and Susan Matias (Ernesto). His grandchildren Alexandra, Ryan, Stephen, Colleen, Scott (Brooke), Melissa (Liz), Paul, Christina and 8 great grand children. He is also survived by his brother Raymond Wagner of Orange, CT.

Robert was a huge baseball fan. He loved watching Astros games with his family. Robert was also a huge animal lover and strongly supported the ASPCA. He was a devout Catholic.

A mass of Christian burial will be held at Saint Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 11 AM.

Robert's burial will take place at the Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 10:30 in the morning.
