Obituary

Robert Parham, 65, of Cypress, Texas was received by God on June 12, 2017. Bob led a full and adventurous life in which he cherished his family and friends.  He loved totally, laughed often, adored telling stories and deeply impacted all he met.  Bob traveled the world, he loved sailing and  fishing, built his own home (literally) and started many home improvements…. even finishing some.  He was known to be a kind and generous man and was loved by many.

The funeral service will be held at 2 pm on July 1, 2017 at Klein Funeral Home at 16131 Champion Forest Dr. Dr. Allen Waldrop will be officiating.  Visitation will be held at 1 pm immediately prior to the service.

Bob was born in Columbus, Georgia on April 28, 1952. He graduated from Columbus High School and continued his education to complete a Bachelor's of Science Degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1977. While working a full time job, Bob also served as a medic in the Army Reserve and the National Guard for approximately 7 years. Bob moved to Houston in 1982 to work for Marathon Manufacturing. He went to work for Cooper Industries in 1987 and eventually retired from the Cameron International Corp. in 2015 where he was a Director of IT SAP development

Bob was married to the love of his life and best friend, Sharon Kay Markuson on December 19, 1987. They were married for 29 ½ wonderful years and had one child together, Kate Elizabeth Markuson Parham (Cypress, TX).

Bob is survived by his wife, Sharon and his three children, Michael Brandon Parham of Columbus, G.A., Lauren Parham Rosenbaum and her husband Guadalupe "Pete" Rosenbaum of Houston, TX , and Kate Elizabeth Markuson Parham of Cypress, Tx; his two grandchildren, Seth Michael Parham Billingsley and Brody "Beau" Hayes Bussey; his father William Howard Parham of Columbus, GA; his brothers and sister-in-laws William "Bill" Howard  and TroyAnne Parham of VillaRica, Georgia; Michael Edward and Linda Halbert Parham of Hammond, Louisianna ; his sister-in-law Karen Markuson Ditty, and numerous nieces and nephews and "Precious" cousins.

Bob is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Moselle Taylor Parham; as well as his grandparents Gilliard Burmah "Poppy" Taylor and Myrtle Nicholson "Mimi" Taylor; Furman Merritt "Grandaddy" Parham and Sally Carson "Granny" Parham.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the Houston and Southeast Texas Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, 6055 South Loop East, Houston, TX 77087.
